If this happens without warning, it can be even more difficult to understand.
We may feel:
- Numb
- Sad
- Angry
- Confused
Suicide is usually a result of a number of things and there’s rarely one simple cause.
One of the hardest things about suicide is that we may never know why it happened. For families, friends and workmates, this can make it very hard to accept.
Some things we can we do:
- Learn more about suicide by reading about the warning signs.
- Speak to others who have lost someone to suicide or who are used to these kind of conversations.
- Attend a Mental Health First Aid or Suicide Prevention course.
