Support Options for a FIFO Lifestyle

Do you work FIFO in any position within the Australian mining industry? Participate and share your FIFO experience!

Curtin University’s Jess Gilbert is conducting a national PhD research project exploring useful support options for people engaged in a FIFO lifestyle.

This study needs people working FIFO within the Australian mining industry to complete 10-15min survey on their FIFO experience, with all text answers completely optional. What makes the lifestyle work for you? What could be improved? Participate and have your say! Your responses are anonymous.

Findings from this study will contribute to the understanding of what factors enable the FIFO lifestyle to be sustainable and rewarding, with a focus on informal supports such as friends, family, and communities (neighbourhoods, groups, clubs, etc.). Findings will also contribute to the development of targeted programs and initiatives to address key issues of concern raised by people working FIFO.
